Larry, I don't know what it is. But I have it in one of my gardens. I'm just glad that I can pull it or knock it down easily.

Have either of y'all ever let it live long enough to flower? If we knew what color flower it produces, that would be one more clue that might lead to an ID.

I seem to have two kinds that look a lot alike when they are young. The one on the left between my thumb and forefinger will have a small white flower on it, the other has a sort of a wisteria, but much smaller. Both plants root along the stem and are hard to pull once they are well established.

I hope it is not too late to salvage my beets and garlic out of this mess.
