shhhhh! Don't say squash bug they'll hear us

The end of last summer I was at Harber Freight and bought a hand held tennis racket bug zapper for 3$ to zap squash bugs.
WARNING! Don't let kids or grown up kids use them.
Brent decided to get it going cuz all the spring spiders we get and running around zapping everything n sight.
I asked to have it back so he wouldn't run down the batteries.
Boy did he give it back,ZZZZZZAAAAAAAAPPPPP!
He didn't take his finger off the zap button when handing it over.
Lighting bolts flew out my finger tips.
DUMB A
It hurt and I didn't know I should handle it like a gun or knife.
I felt weird for a day.

Tree - good to know. I have one too and hadn't thought of all you mentioned.

But I gotta tell ya....(and please don't be mad at me. YOU know me!)....I had to giggle when reading. I can just see you and Brent...and all that transpired! I think he's lucky to still have his head....and that's only because you didn't have the use of your hands! So sorry you had to endure that....REALLY!

Still good for us all to know and be aware. Like I said, I'd never thought about how to handle these.

Thanks for the warning. Actually, I think I will buy one and zap Dave in the butt. :) He has forgotten his "chores" for two weeks straight now!
