Jay, How is the wheat out your way.

I am hearing both good and bad about the wheat harvest with some having good heads but only half filled, and others with a beautiful crop. The ones I am seeing north of Tulsa along the Oklahoma/Kansas state line are looking really good so I hope the heads are full.

I always knew that rainfall was an issue, but I guess these late freezes are even more damaging. I always hate to see a failure in a major food crop because it effects the prices of so many products.

Over near my son's house the wheat was just gorgeous and the soy beans had to be planted so late that they were only a few inches tall when over 5 inches fell in just a few days. I haven't been back to see how the rain has changed things. Farming in Oklahoma is just a gamble, isn't it?
