I am sooo jealous you already have peppers! Gosh most of mine are not even flowering yet. BEAUTIFUL!

Larry, You are very welcome. I don't remember what I sent to you but I would guess the other two are Purple Beauty (OP) and Big Bertha (hybrid). That dark ones looks really dark in the picture, like some of the chocolates, but I think it is PB. I don't have any of those planted this year, buy PB is usually the first of the sweet peppers to mature for me. It kind of slacks off during the heat, but comes back again in Fall. They sure look pretty.

Those are beautiful and I too am jealous. After the abuse my peppers have suffered they are coming back wonderfully and starting to bloom but the plants seem sort of smallish/compact.

I can't believe you have bell peppers already Larry. My bells have just begun blooming. I do have one full-sized jalapeno that is about ready for harvest, but only that one. The others are far behind.

I was thinking my peppers were running behind. They did seem to start blooming early.

I did things a little differently this year that may have given them a jump start. Up until this year I only used one starting shelf. Because of the cold spring and loosing my pup-tent greenhouse due to aging plastic, I shortened the legs on my home-made starting shelf, and then made another one to go over it. The heat from the bottom shelf may have helped the top shelf grow faster. I also experimented with growing mix by adding compost and composted manure.

I will continue to experiment, without it I would not enjoy gardening nearly as much.

None of this may have helped, but some of it will be repeated.
