OSUEngineer, I am glad for your record crop. I just came in from my first picking of Roma. Many are a little small but I hope for thing to improve.

I still have not installed my irrigation tubes and I need to use them this evening. My garden can go from too wet to too dry almost overnight.

My beans are doing well too! But I'm growing a green yard long variety that is amazing! The aphids like them a little too much and they took a little longer to get going, but yummy! These are delicious! Has anyone tried these? I have been harvesting them when they are still small 12"-14" and I am impressed!

I grow some, they come back every year. We don't eat all of them and they dry and drop to the ground, coming up everywhere. I just pull or chop down the ones I don't want.

I have grown yard-longs, which are more closely related to southern peas than beans and they grew well, but I didn't think they tasted nearly as good as the southern peas I grow, so I stopped growing the yard-longs. When I was growing up we called them asparagus beans.
