water purifing plants

i have my garden in pondliners and mineral tubs to create self watering raised beds. I have a friend that will give me another pondliner but its had chemical spilled in it. Is there plants i could put in it this year that would clean up the residues?

That's a hard question to answer. Do you know what the chemical is?

porta pot blue chemical
ive read the msds (hubby works with it) and it seems like it should dissolve in water. so if i get the pondliner id start by taking it to the car wash and high pressure washing it then bring it home and let it soak a while in soapy water. then i want to do a season as just a little pond before i link it to my garden.

It likely will be fine. I am not sure that the liner would absorb the chemical anyway. If it did, you likely will know because when you put water in the liner, you'll get that porta pot blue chemical smell!
