Mia, This occurs sometimes because some people refer to Ipomoea alba, moonflower vine or moonvine, as angel's trumpet, while others refer to datura as angel's trumpet.

I believe what you have is the moonflower vine, not the datura. Clear as mud? (Moonflower vine is gorgeous, has a wonderful scent in the evening/overnight hours, and grows vigorously.) Moonvine is the opposite of Morning Glories---its flowers open in the evening and close in the morning.

Looks like Moonvine to me too. I found a pkg of old seed and planted the 4 seeds left in it and then forgot about them. Then the other day found one when I was weeding the roses in front of where I had put them. Wish they'd all come up, but one is better than none. And I hope I'll have more seed to save later. I look forward to sitting in front of the vine for a half hour and watching the first flower unfurl.

You don't need me to me "three" it, but that looks JUST like a morning glory or a cousin.

Moonflower is one of the first things I ever gardened: a packet of those with a packet of morning glories made me feel like the best gardener ever! Thanks for the clarification. I may need to relocate this, it's in a big pot but when I grew moonflower before it went about 20 ft up into a crape myrtle. There's nothing for it to climb in the pot.
