Does it have amy fragrance to it at all? Maybe Sweet Box?

Just a little fragrance - like "oh, I'm a flowering shrub" sort of fragrance :-)...I looked up Sweet Box and that's not it - these long pinnacles have tiny star-shaped flowers.

Sharon, you can post a reply to your own post with a second photo, then another with a third, etc. For multiple pics in one post, you have to upload to a third party site like Flickr then link the code in your post to share. First way is easier for me if I'm posting from my phone.

Not Chinese privet - a laurel might be closer, if I can find one with those long, narrow (and glossy) leaves.

Well, we were positive some Oklahoma person would know :) Yes, the Name That Plant forum is excellent. I'm always surprised at how quick the answers usually are.

MOS: the leaves are much skinnier than the mangosteen...or at least I think they are based from that pic.

The leaves are much skinnier, and the little star flowers are TINY - like you could probably get a dozen on the end of an eraser :-)
When I get home tonight I'll upload the pic to that Forum and see who comes up with what.
