garlic harvest is finished

Finaly harvested the last of my garlic & shallots. Was really pleased with the frogleg shallots as the grew bigger than any other shallots i have grown before.
The creole garlics are kind of a toss up. none grew over about 1 1/2' but will try them again. the other garlics did pretty decent overall. I planted 25 varieties this year. I would be open to trades if anyone has any i am not growing.

Gary sounds like you had a nice harvest. I've just started mine. It is too early to tell much. Due to the weather conditions through the winter and this spring I knew mine wouldn't be as good as consistent as normal. I think I have 22 varieties. I will post an update after I dig more of it. Some will be another 7-10 days before it is ready. Post you list if you can. I would like to see what you are growing and what did best for you. Jay

Jay in a few days i will go thru my garlic and post what i am growing and how they did. was dissapointed the creoles didn't make larger bulbs than they did but i have several varieties that did do well. Goodluck with your harvest.
