It is a wild abutilon, velvetleaf, which is a pernicious weeds in agricultural fields. The first year we had one pop up here in the garden, I left it so I could see what it was. Stupidly, I let it go to seed, and then I spend the next 3 or 4 years pulling out seedlings that sprouted like mad every year. I think it is pretty, but it is too invasive for me to let even one plant stay in the garden.

I asked this a few years ago. the year after Kingfisher flood Hundreds popped up they where so soft and pretty I thought cool a wild flower.

The next year I had 500 hundred +
I think it was Soonergrandma that told me they could lie dormant for up 2 50 years.
They went to seed the first year and Did nothing Year two a thousand. i ripped them up as soon as I could..
None this year even with all the water. Hope gone for good.
I couldn't sent a pic to soonergrandma but she new.

I really like them but I learned the hard way not to let them go to seed in the garden. They sure are pretty though. I'd rather look at them than look at Johnson grass, crab grass or field bindweed.
