Lisa Merrell, at the Tomatoman's Daughter, has tomatoes available last week through next week on Thurs-Sat only at her location.

If you've lived there in that part of the state a long time and are familiar with the Tomatoman, Darrell Merrell (sadly, now deceased), then you already know about the great variety of heirlooms available from this retailer.

I agree. Tomato plants are still widely available here in tulsa. Southwood has most of the veggies on clearance.

I hope the veggies y'all are seeing are fresh new plants for fall and not sad, rootbound leftovers from spring. They are, right?

We go through a lull down here where the stores pretty much get rid of everything from spring (in terms of veggies and annual flowers) and then don't have much of those types of plants for several weeks. Often, they then don't get fall tomato plants on the shelves until well past the recommended planting date for our area. This year they did better and actually had fresh fall tomato plants at exactly the right time, which (based on past history) is a first.

The fresh fall plants sell out fast down here too.

I was at Lowes a few weeks ago and the Bonnie Truck was there delivering a fresh batch of veggie plants.

Im pretty sure that my patio container determinate is finished, so I may go back and pick up a plant to replace it if they look good.

I just got back from Lowes and Home Depot and NO vegetables!!! Barely any flowers, mainly indoor houseplants.

So, i think you should try and contact the tomato mans daughter and see what you can come up with, although i do remember a thread and a post a little while back from someone saying all the plants they bought from there this year died. But i dont think that is the norm for that seller.

A person could also contact Gary at Duckcreek Farms. I will paste a link to his site below. He has contact information. I've purchased sweet potato slips from him and also he was generous enough to send me seeds for several varieties of tomatoes from that area. Jay
