Leslie, I hope you enjoy it while it lasts. We were nice and cool and drizzly/rainy like that for three days and I tried to enjoy every minute of it, even going out to the garden in light rain (none of our rain was heavy) to pick cucumbers one day and to pull weeds in the southern pea beds on another day.

It took us three days to accumulate 1.1" of rainfall, but it fell so slowly that it soaked into the ground instead of running off.

This is the kind of weather Tim grew up with in Pennsylvania, where it is "hot" when it hits the 80s. I think I could learn to enjoy a summer full of weather like this, but not if it meant I had to endure really cold winter weather like they have in PA.

This is our second good "cold spell" of the summer. Maybe we'll get lucky and have a third! (We can always hope for it, right?)

Enjoy it, enjoy it, enjoy it while it lasts. You know exactly how rare this sort of weather is and you know it never lasts long enough in the summer.

Our yard and garden, and even our pastures, have perked up and greened up a lot the last three days, and we didn't even have a huge amount of rain. It is such a pleasant change from last week's hot, hot, hot weather. I wish it would last longer.
