This map is based on data received through 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

From looking at this map, it looks like Arkansas showed some modest improvement as some areas dropped back to a lower drought category, but in Kansas the Exceptional Drought area enlarged a little bit. Texas showed a little improvement in some areas, but in other areas both the Extreme and Exceptional categories look like they enlarged a little.

Even Alaska is in D-O (Abnormally Dry) and various parts of Hawaii also have drought ranging from D-0 (Abnormally Dry) to D-3 (Extreme Drought).
