The NWS has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning in effect from 10 am through 10 pm today for virtually the same counties that had a Red Flag Fire Warning yesterday.

Most of the big fires from yesterday continue to burn and containment will be difficult to achieve in today's weather conditions.

The NWS will set off the weather alert feature on you weather radio to notify you of fire evacuations in your ares as long as your local Emergency Management Personnel request that they do so.

Remember that the same conditions (high wind, low relative humidity values and high temperatures) that warrant a Red Flag Fire Warning are very hard on plants, especially young plants recently transplanted or sprouted for the fall garden. So, watch your little plants carefully, and water them and give them wind protection today if you can.

The forecast cool down cannot come soon enough.
