We had some fabulous Porter peaches, too. I peeled and sliced several up. They really didn't need sugar, but I wanted to delay spoiling. DH thought I was exagerating. He waited till the next day to taste and he was impressed, too. Seems like you only get one "perfect" batch a season with fruit. Last year we got some oganoc cherries that were wonderful. Npne of the others last year held a candle to those.
