beans with purple flowers?

I planted Kentucky Blue and Rattlesnake beans in late spring after the sugar snap peas were done. Not sure which ones sprouted but they have purple flowers. I've never grown beans before but my mother did and I thought they had white flowers. Anyway, does anybody know which variety has purple flowers? That was an unexpected bonus as purple is my favorite color :)

RE: beans with purple flowers?

Lots of bean varieties have purple flowers. Other flower colors of beans include white, yellow, pink, red and even red-and-white bicolors (in the scarlet runner bean group).

Your purple flowers are the Rattlesnake Beans. If your Kentucky Blue sprouted and grew, they will have white flowers.
