Was thinking yesterday, there's no telling what the weather will do. I have a cold frame, but haven't had the opportunity to fill it with dirt this year.

I've decided to raise flowers indoors this winter to help boost morale and keep me busy. I wish it were spring.

Good luck! I'll need some too, as I spent Friday and yesterday sowing more seeds (lettuce) and transplanting some summer herbs into reworked beds for whatever time remains of the warm growing season.

Early last week I sowed seeds for beets, carrots, Chinese cabbage, peas, Swiss chard, spinach and radishes for a winter garden. Radishes and beets emerged in 3-days, and yesterday noticed the Swiss chard and cabbage poking through already!

I've got seeds galore too, so even if the winter garden experiment doesn't work out, there'll be plenty to go around for early spring planting and transplants.

Hey, how's it going? The wheat popped. The temperature, the daytime sun, all the rain we received... was puuuuurfect for it. I was concerned about it being too cold. When I looked it up; I found to cooler temps were most beneficial to germination.

I couldn't resist with some fresh amended dirt in the planter. I plopped some lettuce seed in. Maybe. They say it'll warm up in a few days.
