My White Cushaw plants are dying down now. I do believe it's the drought. Old Timey Cornfield Pumpkins are still green, but they're slowing down.

Those are aphids!

Oh! kfrinkle, I should have recognized that! I assumed they were eggs. Nopeeking, you can hit those leaves with a good jet of water from the hose and knock the aphids off the leaves. Most will never get back up before dying. It's that simple.

Wow...aphids?? They don't even seem to be moving. I have a magnifying glass I'll take out there to check. Is there anything else I can spray on them besides water? There are three huge plants and I doubt I'd get all the aphids with water.

Blast them with water as George said.

You mention movement. Good thing to keep in mind for aphids: Slow moving are aphids that sit and destroy plants. Fast-moving aphids are predators and, likely, beneficial.

Not that any of my plants have survived well. Great suggestion from someone here.
