Caterpillars in garden

Happy Sunday All!

I'm facing a dilemma- I have found monarch and swallowtail caterpillars on their said host plants that I have purposely planted to attract them. It brings me great joy to see them and I want them to continue in my garden. That being said, I only see them for a day or two and then they are just gone. I don't know if a predator is eating them or if they can travel long distances? Should I A.) leave them be and let them keep going where ever they go or B.) bring them inside and keep them safe from said potential predators? What are your thoughts?

My normal thought is to leave what's outside outside, but if they are indeed being eaten than I would like to do what I can to save them :)

Thank you,

Christina
