Randy's Brandy

Here is a new favorite of mine. One of the varieties that Gary sent me seeds for. I have mentioned it several times before. This vine is one that I started picking from in mid June and have been picking at least this amount most weeks and sometimes a second picking. This was what I picked today. The heat did temporarily stop the growth. But it kept setting fruit. Bushed out some. It is growing again now and still loaded with fruit from tinies to those that will be ready to pick in 5-6 days. It has very good flavor. A Brandywine selection. I shared a plant with a coworker. He planted it late. He was eating one Friday. Said he was getting several slicers from it every week. I think this plant is from my saved seeds. I grew plants from Gary's seeds and my saved seeds both this year. It seems to be fairly heat/drought tolerant and also have some disease resistance. Jay
