| The NWS office in Amarillo has issued a Freeze Watch for tonight through tomorrow morning for the OK panhandle. A Freeze Watch also is in effect for portions of the adjoining states of Kansas (Jay, that means you. I see snow might be in your forecast.), Texas and Colorado.
Temperatures in the OK panhandle and portions of adjacent states are expected to drop down to freezing near or after midnight and stay there until morning. Tender vegetation that is not covered likely will be damaged. The text of the OK panhandle's Freeze Watch is linked below. It is likely this watch may be upgraded to a Freeze Warning if conditions so warrant. Dawn |
