thank goodness for a weekend with no rain..........
Yesterday I harvested comfrey for the herbal salve I make for dry and itchy skin,we picked basil seeds and catnip,we rototilled our two new beds for next Spring and planted them to red clover, a cover crop, started picking more tomatoes and peppers, mulched the new strawberries and after church today is plant garlic day.God is amazing the way food comes from little seeds and soil.
The red clover I got is Kenland variety.Does anyone know if all red clover blossoms are safe for tea?

RE: Red clover question

It's excellent for tea. Below is a link to an article. Google it and you get millions of results. Glad to hear from one who is interested in herbs. I grow a lot of what you mentioned and use it medicinally and for teas. Today I dried lemon balm, peppermint and spearmint. Yesterday it was french tarragon, anise hyssop and sage. I am getting my bed ready for garlic. I think garlic is the best preventative medicine one can take. It keeps your body healthy and keeps sick people away from you as well! LOL

Here is a link that might be useful: Red Clover
