Oops...I forgot to tell you all!

I'm a few weeks off mark here, but my daughter, Katie, whom some of you met at the plant swap last spring...is engaged! She and her wonderful young man will be married next June 6th :) I had thought of expanding my garden, but my help will be gone, so no deal...
I do hope that they will have an apartment with a good exposure, so that I can give them a patio tomato at least. Even if I can't, I'm sure they'll have plenty of produce from me or my dad (fingers crossed for myself!)

Sharon,

What exciting news! Katie is such a beautiful and sweet young woman and her wonderful young man is a lucky guy. Congrats to all and I do hope the wedding planning doesn't drive you all mad. hee hee

So, you're not losing a daughter....you're gaining a son. When our son got married this summer, we gained the daughter I'd always wanted and she has fit into our family perfectly and added immeasurable joy to our lives. I'm sure you'll enjoy gaining a son too. : )

Congratulations and best wishes to the new couple.

Garden like Ruth Stout and you can expand that garden as much as you have mulch!

Thank you :)

He is a great guy; I definitely feel like I'm gaining a son AND some sweet in-law people...Katie is so fortunate in that area, too.
As for expanding, well...right now I have a tidy 8X8 raised bed. I sort of like the tidyness, but can't yet afford the lumber...but I'm looking for good, used castoffs! So...perhaps it's a possibility at some point.
