LOL, no, really, it is NOT to late. I have planted as late Jan/early Feb and had flowers. These were around the third of February one year.....

I like the bulbs in the top picture. You could plant them in pots and place them around in the house and save on energy, especially if heat bulb would grow like that.

LOL light bulbs are cute. I have really messed up maybe. My husband passed away and I just don't have time right now to get them in the ground probably before Feb. But thank you for your input. I will get them done as soon as I can.

Oh Deb, I am so sorry to hear that. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband.

If the bulbs are not in the refrigerator chilling, you can put them there and hold them for quite a long time. Simulating winter by giving them the cool temps will keep them happy until you can put them in the ground. Otherwise, they may or may not bloom this year depending on how long it is before you put them in the ground, but then they would bloom next year. I've planted bulbs as late as late January had had them bloom on time.

Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. Like Dawn said, the fridge is a good holding place.

But I did post the pictures just to show, dumping them in a narrow trench, and covering them, will bring results. I ended up digging them all up, and taking them with me when I moved. Now, they live at the house in Edmond I lived for a while.

You could always did them up in June, and hold them over till fall, and plant them where you want them for real.

That holding trench is a really good idea. I'll have to remember that the next time I can't get some spring bulbs planted.
