This is quite an old Spicerianum hybrid which I believe goes back to the 1930's but if there are any Paph. experts out there that know something about the parentage I would really like to know. The species has the dorsal petal curling back on it's self, this hybrid has a broad slightly convex dorsal which I think is attractive.

Bruno, registered in 1896 and still good. According to the entries in the RHS Database mostly spicerianum with a little bit of insigne.

Thanks arthurm, a much older cross than I thought. I'm also surprised that the addition of Insigne would have produced such a well shaped dorsal
