This summer has been even wetter than last and it has played havoc with the orchids. La Nina, Global Warming...sei la! The worst affected have been the Cattleyas, many of which have developed rot. A lot of them will end up in the bin. Also, it's been a field day for the snails, worst affected plant:Phalaenopsis, those thick crunchy leaves are simply too tempting.... Just thought I'd let you know in case you don't think we have it all our own way.....!
