Oh, Wow! Gorgeous! Congrats on the award, too. This one is muchly deserved.

Everyone else: Even tho this picture is gorgeous, it still doesn't capture the deep glowing velvety quality of the flowers, silk velvet. I got one in sheath from Odoms last fall. It still has one flower on it out of two spikes. It bloomed out so beautiful with two spikes that I've been on the hunt for other L Anceps hybrids ever since. Can't wait for next year.

Norman's and Odom's both still have it.

Can see why you got an award, that is beautiful and nice staking for the presentation.

The flowers rise nicely above the plant. I join others in saying congratulations. You're a cut above, Bayard, and I'm glad to see the judges are learning that too! Lovely specimen.

It is a real pain that it is hard to capture some of these orchid "purples" via digital camera. You photograph a beautiful orchid and you end up with a purple blob. Drats!

Congrats on getting the AOS award on this plant. It does deserve recognition as it is a very nicely colored anceps hybrid. There are not too many purple-red flowering anceps hybrids, and this one has fine shape and flat as well.
