The Chocolate/vanilla fragrance is stunning. I stop for a sniff every time i walk past the plant. It is a "X sib" from H & R orchids so should be readily available in the USA. Not for the light challenged though. Leaves do not look so good seeing i stuck it near the sheer glass north wall of a glasshouse to get it to bloom. That wall is only covered with scratchy paint so almost full sun there. (Southern Hemisphere)
I'm really getting into Encyclia species. Most of them are fragrant (a big plus); also, the pseudobulbs are so nicely rounded and grow closely together and the leaves and spikes so graceful looking. They don't take up a lot of space unless of course they are allowed to grow really huge.
