I've never had luck with dialaelia, although I haven't given up yet! I do have the apple blossum is budding nicely, still several weeks away from bloom though. I'll enjoy yours! BTW, where's the link? I do love full plant photos.

Very nice! Rather bummed, my Iwan put up two nice growths but doesn't look like it is even going to attempt to bloom.

Paul - I was thinking the same thing...this one put out one new growth every year, and nothing happened for the longest time. A sheath formed last year, but never made it. Keep growing it though...mine only has 5 growths right now, 3 of which are small and shriveled from a while back, so I think these flower young.

They're gorgeous. A sure sign of spring to come! :)

I too love the shape of dialaelia flowers. I had a Dial Snowflake, but as I recall it was all white. So graceful, tho.

Your Snowflake is a very beautiful one-- I love the tint of peach. Ane the Appleblossom is exquisite. I love the clear bright yellow in the lip.

Question: Are you getting these blooms under your T-5s?

Mehitabel - Thanks :) no actually these are getting real sunlight. My T5s are mainly for my miniatures; since I can only really afford one set of lights, I'm opting for more small orchids under good artificial light rather than a few large orchids under artificial light. I wish my dialaelia stayed white...it turns salmon after a week or so.
