I have inherited one of these plants from my mother, who recently passed away. She was very passionate about orchids and it means a lot to me to keep this plant alive. Do you have some tips of what conditions this species strives in, how often to water/fertilize, etc. Thanks in advance.

I love the formation of the stems and leaves of that 'Firecracker'! So much nicer than lumpy Cattelya Pbulbs, LOL!

Hi Alexchakerez. If you post a thread in the discussions area of this site, you should get some growing tips. I don't grow that many dends, so I hesitate to offer tips. Good luck with your plant.

Hi Alex, do not know where you live but you should should be able to find some complete cultivation notes on the net that relate to your growing conditions.

I've put the link in to a recent thread over on discussions that might be interesting. You can always start a new thread or add to that one if you need more help.

Here is a link that might be useful: Hardcane Den Discussion
