Cymbidium Connie Villalobos

Last year when we had the major frost,I lost about 2/3 rds of my collection.
The day before the frost hit I ecieved a call from a sister, that our oldest had just a few days left.No brainer, threw stuff in thae car and left.
Some one on another forum asked and I explained what had happened.
A few months ago Andy Easton e-mailed me and said he was nameing a Cymbidium after my sister. It arrived in bud.
I cant tell you the feeling I had.Unfortunately the 3 middle buds died.So I was left with only two.

I'm not going to put the 4 photos here, instead here is the link to Orchid Terrace 2008.Just click a photo to see a larger version.

Hope you enjoy
Charles B.

The Cymb is beautiful...I'm sorry for your loss, I lost my sister and mother a week apart last year too. We still have the good memories though.~Charm

Charles, I always enjoy all your photos. Your cym is beautiful, as are you other bloomers. Oh, what would we do without the good memories!

Beautiful subtle earth tones on that cymbidium - the white of the lip GLOWS. sorry for your loss - what an honor to have such a gorgeous flower named in her memory.
