| Hi, I received this orchid in a plant exchange from Puerto Rico. Can anyone tell me what kind it is? It has small leaves and likes a dirt/bark mixture, so it's more like potting a regular plant than an orchid. |

| It is a reed-type epidendrum. There are a number of species that look quite a bit alike, and also quite a few hybrids. They often grow as terrestrials in tropical and subtropical areas. As long as you give them a lot of light and don't let them dry out, they should do fine. Tucker |
