| A number of the young plants I bought when I first arrived in Brazil 3 years ago are now beginning to flower. This is not a first flowering but the first, last year was spoiled by aphids. Smaller and less well-known than Bapt. echinata, this is another plant from the southern area of the Brazilian Mata Atlantica. The somewhat Ondontoglossum-like flowers grow in a rather untidy spray and appear in late summer/early fall(now). |
