    What a beauty! Have one of these, and looks like it might want to spike...Bayard, I must ask you...what temps and light do you grow yours in?

    Carol - Winter temps are 55F minimum. I try to keep the Summer maximum below 85F. This one gets a little more shade than the other cattleyas, which get lots of sun in the greenhouse. The treefern basket and coconut husk / diatomite mix allows me to water frequently, yet the roots get lots of air.

    Thanks Bayard...I moved my schilleriana to less light a week or 2 ago, as the leaves were getting too maroonish looking.
