Epidendrum falcata

The leaves of this plant are a dead ringer for Epidendrum parkinsonium but the flowers are quite different. My parkinsonium is just starting to spike, the falcata is in bloom. The other interesting thing about falcata is that it is very brittle. Any rough handling will result in inadvertent divisions. Apparently in nature both wind and animals do the same which results in multiple plants growing as lithophytes underneath an established plant in a tree.
