Cute little Dockrilla from Queensland, Australia. The growths resemble little cucumbers, the flowers have a foul smell. I grow it outside and it thrives on benign neglect.
And here is a hybrid made with it. Dockrilla Limestone (cucumerinum x bowmanii). Retains the shape of the flowers and the smell but the cucumbers have been upgraded.
Taxonomy gone mad! Orchid growers here groaned when the Genera name was changed back to Dendrobium. Latest version of Genera name is Dendrobium cucumerinum. Supposed to be hard to grow but I think most are killed with too much TLC. Your mount tells the story of the requirements. I only have bowmanii which I would rate as very easy. Pity the cucumbers go away in the cross.
