Bulbophyllum Xanthippe

Got it from Cal Orchids and still have the original tag. The spelling is absolutely clear but I cannot find any reference to this name on the internet. It's a large plant and a good sized flower. No odor.

Side view. The little black lip bobbles with the slightest breeze.

B caruncullatum opened today. It is only found in Sulawesii as a warm grower. This species is now considered to be a subspecies of B amplibracteatum along with B orthoglossum. I wonder if the Xanthippe is the same, very similar. Less red on this one but identical shape. Multiple flowers, up to 12 will bloom on one spike.

To me, the petals don't look as waxy, but then, I only see the photo.
