| This is a top-performing species. I have seen large plants with over 30 active canes and hundreds of flowers. Mine is still a youngster. "Fimbriatum" means frilly and "oculatum" menas with a dark "eye" or center. Easy and reliable. |

| Again nice photo,but for me to much light.Is this taken outside. If you have a photo umbrella and stand use it outside to block off the suns rays and set your camera setting to shady and give it a try. |

| Thank you Charles. You are right about the light being a bit bright here. I think I also overdid the contrast. It really is this color however! All my pics are shot in natural light, though some of the smaller close-ups are done indoors using a time exposure. I will experiment with the umbrella idea. Hand-held close-ups are not easy, however. You can't do them without bright light. |

| What kind of camera do you have.You might want to think about a tripod.Then even make tabletop ones. The color is terrific,but to me it all runs together. Can you duplicate what you did with the Coelogyne.That photo is spot on. Charles B. |
