That is similar to my clone and another recently posted by (My Choice? ) here. Mine was just labeled Neofinetia falcata. Is this form much superior to the form from other places.
Just love this beautiful orchid , but perhaps my conditions are not ideal because it is a tardy bloomer.
Arthur, from what I understand, the Amami Island form of N. falcata is identical to the species type, just larger in leaf and flower. I have two clones of plain Neo and two of Amami, and the difference is notable when side-by-side: Amamis are about 50% bigger.
Also from what I understand, Amami I. is south of Japan, and thus Amami specimens might be warmer growers than clones from further north.
