Bought this after I saw Kevin's a year or so ago. However, I think dendrobium venustum is sometimes sold as delacourii...not sure which one mine is, but IOSPE says if the stem is longer than 4" (which mine is) then it's venustum. Flowers are smaller than I expected, a little less than an inch in size...which is a bit disappointing. I know other people have reported larger flowers so maybe mine's just a bit runty. Interesting nonetheless.
Something bad happened to this one - developed some bacterial/fungal disease that made it lose most of it's new leaves on the two developing canes. Decided to bloom anyway, but I wonder if it'll recover, since it now no longer has any leaves to photosynthesize with...I guess the good news is, it doesn't have anymore leaves to rot off either. Treated with phyton27 a few times, to no avail. Luckily it didn't spread.
Sorry for the over-exposed out of focus photos ... still using my iphone!
