It's lovely, I can't wait til mine is ready to bloom! How big are the individual leaves on yours, by the way? Without point of reference, I feel like mine is a similar size to yours, but that doesn't seem right somehow.

Does anyone know how long the flowers on these are supposed to last? Mine dropped off in less than a week - is that normal?

Calvin, I don't know how long these blooms last, but it certainly is a beauty!

Carol - great to see you! One of the catasetums you gave me is blooming, but I misplaced the tag so I might need you to get me an ID when I post the pic!

I highly suspect that low humidity did the flower in early. I brought some other angs to the orchid society meeting and they died quite quickly afterwards. These plants are sensitive little _____es!

Oops

Sorry I didnt answer your question, Quinnfyre! The leaves are REALLY small, about the size of a dime. I didn't expect this guy to do anything for a while, since the main growth whcih had bigger leaves died on me, and this is actually a side offshoot. I think you can probably expect blooms pretty soon if yours is a similar size...these seem to bloom small. It probably has something to do with how extensive the root system is though...
