I despaired of ever getting this plant to flower. Following Jay's advice I grew it in a pot as a lithophyte. For 3 years, nothing.
After the storm which blew down my old orchid area, the plant must have lost its label and got shoved in with a load of Sobralia cuttings. It subsequently got planted in ordinary garden dirt. Just 4 months later this is the result. Sometimes you need a bit of luck. It obviously needs constant moisture. I'm afraid I got carried away with the pic as a result, and shot the photo before all the blooms were open. I will see what it looks like in a couple of weeks time and maybe repost.
