D. cucumerinum

Dendrobium/Dockrilla cucumerinum.
Bloomed in July.
Pretty easy to grow here in Hawaii (tolerates neglect).
I was pretty stoked to see this one flowering.
Even when not in flower this orchid is a true beauty.
Not a spectacular display like those that come up with a Google image search of this species, but it's something nonetheless.

Congratulations! Not often seen in collections in Australia. Reputed to be difficult but i suspect too much TLC is the problem.

RE: D. cucumerinum

Thanks. I expected this plant to be difficult. It's interesting how it could be difficult to grow in its native land. Then again - the plants native to Hawaii are often much more difficult to grow than introduced plants. I give this plant no TLC. I've learned not to keep orchids that require any TLC and lucky for me, this little beauty is not one of them.
