Another inheritance at least with some kind of tag. 'Catt Portia type' is what it reads. The long firm stalk certainly goes along with that.

Portias come in all colors but usually have a long firm erect stalk.
A better view of the characteristic stalk which unfortunately got broken usually has 6 flowers.
I call them Cluster Types. Ancestor C. bowringiana gives the flowering habit and numerous flowers.Here is C. Portia a hybrid made ages ago and still good.
Love the little dark purple " lip line". Nice blooms.
