Hi,

I am new to this forum and new to the orchid hobby. Any help with the name of this plant would be appreciated.

I have had the plant in question for years, but it flowered for the first time around Memorial Day 2010. It was a wee-thing when purchased and is now about four feet tall. When purchased (from an orchid seller at a plant show) I was told it is a Dendrobium nobile and that it would have purple and white flowers. Suffice to say I was surprised to see the flowers.
