Anacheilium faustum 'Elysian' x 'Halcyon'

From Southern Brazil. 2 inch very fragrant flowers on an 8 inch plant.

This is the first blooming from a seedling received a couple of years ago. For a first blooming, I was surprised to get 2 spikes with 10 flowers and the plant still have 4 more sheaths. I’m not sure if they’re going to develop into anything, but maybe this is an indicator of what to expect in the future.

Ooh, I like those yellow tinged petals...very neat. Haven't seen this one before either. Does it stay small

Calvin - Jay's site says it's a small grower, but I'm not sure what that means. It kind of looks like it might stay manageable.

Is this also known as Encyclia fausta? Do you know how cold these can go in the winter? If it can take high 40's or low 50's and stays "managable" I wouldn't mind trying this one.

Yes, it is the same plant. There was a name change some years back. Temps? During the winter mine is usually kept in the 53-55 F range at night and only 70-72 during the day.
