Cattleya lueddemanniana 'Orchid Jungle'

Hmmm...

I wasn't expecting this to spike, let alone bloom, so I wasn't watching it.

The buds were already opening when I noticed and they just grew out willy-nilly!

The wild bees don't seem to care what it looks like! ;~)

I think that this is an Alkali bee(Nomia melanderi).

    Thanks!
Although I wasn't totally thrilled with the photo quality, I went ahead and used it.
I liked havin' the bees checkin' things out.
Nothing has worked right since the camera was dropped and I hadn't adjusted the depth of field, but I didn't want to try for more.
I got an estimate on having it fixed along with a total cleanin'!
    Ouch!!
But...I will likely go ahead and do it.:~(
I hate how dificult it's become to get a decent shot!
I've looked at some of my older photos and the quality, of the actual photo, was much better.

I just bought a new laptop...
    (It's very sweet!)
so I'm not happy about the extra costs, but I'll likely be very happy when my photos improve again!
    Thanks again!

    Thanks!
This was one that I debated about getting and had asked about around here.
I really love C.lueddemanniana's, so I only thought about it for a short time! ;~)
I had to add it to my little group of 'em!

    Thanks!
I just wasn't really thrilled with either of 'em.
I just picked one and posted it.
    They, both, should've been better.
    Jeeze!
I just have to break down and see about some repairs.
Taking photos has really started to bite!
Nothin' is workin' right, without a major fight.
