Here's some of what's happening in my greenhouse:

Blc. Lake Murray 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS

From Fender's Flora. Purchased 08/07. First bloom. ( I think it's mislabeled.)

C. Spotted Gem ' Snow Leopard'

From Kawamoto. Purchased in bud 02/08 at POX. First rebloom 09/08.

Paph Julius

Purchased in bud 02/08 at POX. First rebloom beginning.

I think that is Blc. Lake Murray 'Mendenhall'.

So gorgeous! ...you've captured the colours so vibrantly on the Blc. Lake Murray 'Mendenhall'...it was awarded an AM/AOS...in 199l. It looks correctly labelled to me.

Dear Bayard and Carol,
I was saying I thought it was wrong because it doesn't look like the pics on Fender's website, or the pic on Carter & Holmes either. The dark area, the yellow surround, the striations in the lip and the white part (callus?) don't seem to be on those pictures and are very distinctive on mine. Can you tell me anything more?

All I can say is that your photo is so much better than theirs-their photos are muddy-you can barely make out the details of the lips. This is a difficult colour to capture unless you know what you're doing or get lucky,

I'm not a lover of the big floofy catts but I'd snatch that one up in a heartbeat! The spotties always get my attention. Your hubby's photos are beautiful, Amy.
