Encyclia flabelliforme

Some orchids are notable as much for their scent as their flowers. This is quite a robust plant but the flowers are on the small side and quite sparsely produced. It is powerfully scented,however, though perhaps not to everyone's taste as it is has some quite strong, musky, aromatic notes.

Very nice - I'm a fan of the purple/brown/almost black blush on some of these encyclias. I'm still struggling to get a neglected tampensis to bloom...maybe I'll try some more once I succeed

It is beautiful. I bet the plant looks impressive covered with these fragrant flowers
