Ceratostylis retisquama

Found throughout Asia, The Philippines and New Guinea. This has to be the easiest orchid to grow Ive ever owned. I started with a small piece about 4 years ago, pinned it to a piece of tree fern and stuck that in a pot. The plant is now about 12 inches across and blooms like this many times per year. 1 inch flowers.

I just love these kind of orchids.
Compact and loaded with pretty blooms.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I consider this a must have, so Arthur you have to get it. I don't remember who gave this one to me, but it was someone out here. Sorry it took me so long to respond, but my 'puter had a meltdown. I'm now back.
